No Shame Counseling, Reiki & Consultation was founded in 2017 following a personal spiritual ascension and healing journey.
As the work deepened, so did the calling: to create a space where healing could happen without shame, urgency, or erasure — especially for people who have historically been asked to endure rather than be held.
This practice was intentionally built as a safe, affirming environment for people of color, Black women, and LGBTQ+ individuals, where healing is allowed to look however it needs to look.
Sometimes that means talking.
Sometimes silence.
Sometimes laughter, crying, writing, or release.
We hold space for all of it.
We believe:
Our work is guided by the belief that healing is not about becoming someone else — it’s about returning to yourself with more clarity and choice.

Ellison Kirby is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who specializes in working with adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, OCD, ADHD, trauma, depression, self-harm, and major life transitions. Her work is grounded in safety, trust, and deep respect for the human experience.
With a background spanning sexual assault advocacy, adolescent intensive outpatient care, and her current role as a forensic interviewer at a children’s advocacy center, Ellison brings a calm, steady presence to some of life’s most complex moments.
She has particular experience supporting teens and emerging adults who feel overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts, emotional intensity, or the pressure of figuring out who they are and where they belong. When working with clients experiencing OCD, Ellison utilizes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), an evidence-based approach that helps individuals reduce the power of intrusive thoughts and regain a sense of control in their daily lives.
Ellison believes healing begins in the relationship when clients feel seen, understood, and met without judgment. Her approach blends honest conversation, practical tools, and just enough humor to remind clients that even in hard work, there is room to breathe. Sessions are grounded, human, and free of shame; creating space for clarity, resilience, and lasting change.
